To measure infrastructure consumption, the solution offers one of two units of measure:
The daily peak of memory allocated by hypervisor hosts plus HA overhead, sampled every 15–60 minutes and invoiced monthly.
Raw capacity for written data plus redundancy — 50% efficiency for two-way mirroring, 33% for three-way — sampled daily, billed on the monthly average.
When HPE is the CSP of record, Microsoft also reports Azure service usage to HPE, which is billed alongside the HPE allocated-memory or storage measures.
